I am taking SCSI Accelerator out of the public domain.I have modified the SCSI Accelerator 1.5 file that I produced so very long ago (early 1988), to work with System 7.0. I would be glad to get it out to those of you who need it. Just send me a disk and a self addressed stamped envelope and $5.00 and I will send it right out to you. If you are not satisfied for any reason I will gladly return your money. This version was a modified version of my original SCSI Accelerator 1.0 which was only compatible with System version 4.2. Mr. Dolf Starreveld of Amsterdam made some interesting and useful changes to the original program although he neglected to mention who he got the SCSI Accelerator from in the first place. Never the less his changes were valid and useful for some of those drives that did not work with the original program. (One of the changes was to make it compatible with System 6.0)’If you have been using either SCSI Accelerator 1.5 or SCSI-Accel-r0w0s6 sucessfully then SCSI Accelerator 7.0 will work for you with Systems 4.2, 6.0 or 7.0. If you have been using one of the other versions of SCSI Accel 2.10, I will be glad to set up a version of my SCSI Accelerator 7.0 that will duplicate the one that you are using. I will need to work with you directly to make sure that the modified versions work as needed and I will not accept any money until I am assured that the SCSI Accelerator is working properly and you are satisfied. I do have a few sub-versions available and enclude them on your disk when I return it. If the main version does not work, you may be able to use one of the sub-versions.ê------------------------------ ------------------------------As I did with my earlier versions, I am enclosing my telephone number and sincerely hope that you all will not hesitate to use it. Even if you just want to verbally abuse me for not putting the SCSI Accelerator 7.0 into the public domain. I can be reached most every evening until 10:00 PM or so central time. You can take a chance at catching me at home during the day. I truly enjoyed talking to many many people over the past few years about the SCSI Accelerator or just Mac's in general. Some of you I have helped, some I have been unable to help, but a friend was made just the same.I would like to thank the fifteen people who sent me a few bucks for the use of the previous versions of SCSI Accelerator.
